How's it going BHW?

Hello everyone. I just discovered this site a few days ago and needless to say I'm hooked. I don't have any background in IM but I hope to change that soon and supplement my income.
A little about myself; I love going to school, snowboarding, the beach and most awesome things. But unawesome things like bills and work stop me from doing what I love. This is where BHW comes in. This community has so much to offer and I look forward to taking advantage of it.

Question for anyone reading this: are there any areas on the site you recommend I check out first? I've seen some of the 'Read here first' posts and got some great info from them. Just wondering if you have any personal favorites that may have been overlooked. Bonus points for hidden gems of methods that work in 2014.

I'd say anything that worked last year still works in 2014, if you put the effort in, tweak the method and see what works for you.

That won't happen. The ultimate goal is to have a semi-passive income so I can focus on school and not worry about bills.
Thanks for the link. I have read some of it but I'll finish reading it today.

The offline SEO method posted by Boomboomer looks like a promising method. It seems a little less technical but could serve as an introduction to the business.

Hey man, thanks for the link. I have checked out that section because it was the most attractive and there sure is a good deal of quality info. I like the 'MyJourney' section because it feels easier to achieve knowing it has been tested by others. Who knows, hopefully I'll be posting my own journey there soon

Welcome mate. The best advice I can give ya, read anything and everything. Don't forget to read the old threads as well. I sorta started out here by only reading the newest things, which are great, but some of the best knowledge has already been shared. Even if it was a few years ago.

Thanks dadangle! I have been reading any and everything I can so far. The 'Best of' threads are extremely helpful in sorting through some of the older gems. The only hesitation I have is that the landscape of the internet is changing so fast that I take methods from 2010 and earlier with a grain of salt.
But I have nothing but time to find the good stuff! Thanks for your reply buddy

I completely understand. Lol I can't tell you how many tricks and methods I've tried just to find out they've been picked clean or they no longer work. The trick is to use their knowledge and put your own (updated) twist on it.
