I've been inactive for a while - couple of guys pinged me on skype and asked - "Where the hell have you been?" :D
So i thought i'd just pop back into the lounge and start a discussion about 2021.

2020 has been a crazy year for me. A ton of thing happened. This is for sure an year im gonna look back in about 10 years and be either proud or be pissed about.

Right now I feel like I'm going forward, but have no clear idea where i am going. I think it will all makes sense by the end of 2021. I am also mentally exhausted being stuck inside due to months long lockdowns. Hopefully I can get out more in 2021.

What are your goals for 2021? IM/Career/Business/Health goals.. anything goes here.

I am currently meant to be in Dubai this week for another 3 days, then onto Bangkok with Emirates first class for a week, then back to Dubai for another week...

There are some stupid crazy bargains at the moment for hotels and even flights, just a case of when travel will be back to normalish.

One of my important goals for 2021 is opening 100 high quality (learning oriented) but free of cost schools in my state for children from very very poor families (perhaps out of state as well) using my earnings from IM. Let's see how it goes. Nonetheless, we are sure that 2021 will be better than 2020, considering the days we have seen this year.

Sounds like a lavish vacation mate

Can't even think for 2021 without mentioning 2020 first. It sure was a relatively bad year for a lot of people, but for some it was great, and not only financially - good for them, I'm happy to hear good news about people in overall, but especially about the ones that I know and respect.

2020 for me couldn't have started worse. 5th of January I lost my grandfather who I loved so much and then it was a rollercoaster with a few business failures, the pandemic and everything it contained and so on. But then again, my family and I were fortunate enough to contract covid19 around June and overcome it, some with more symptoms, but overall it was alright - hopefully we'll have enough immunity not to catch it again.

Learned the lessons of 2020 and will apply them on 2021 - will have to get back up and tackle 2021 as there's no other choice. What I missed in 2020 was traveling (been to England once beginning of March and that's it), so looking forward to more traveling in 2021, more quality time with the loved ones and more successful ventures.

Cheers to all!

Well,

In terms of real state (I'm the owner of one of the biggest companies in my area, nominated this year by "world travel awards" as the best beach location in the world), there is good faith that 2021 will be a fresh start and a expand time for some companies.

This "some" companies will be the ones that survived the financial stress of 2020, mostly companies with no rent dependency and that work directly with commission per reservation.
That being said, this same companies will basically take over the others clients, its already happening and its crazy right now, I just spend 6k in a software because I had no infrastructure to handle so many work , from new clients to older clients with new properties, manage all those services each property weekly needs and obviously because with saves a lot of times with company finances being everything noted in auto mode (services etc) in the software.

With the vaccination plans across Europe, some starting taking place already this next monday, tourism will spark and I believe that in middle of 2021 first semester I will have some good stats to analyze and to have a more precise idea about 2021.

I have other thoughts on other things I work on but I think this text box its not big enough.

Just my 2 cents.

Sorry for your loss mate! We also had some family situations involving surgeries etc. but by god's grace, things will be way better in 2020. I also miss the travelling part.

a noble goal, good luck

For me, my business will take of and make me a great amount of money.

This year i started my company and was able to live and pay rent off of it. But I have not been working as much as I would like due to a family member got sick, and I had to tend to her (only child) so instead of working 9 hours a day i managed to work for just 2-3 hours a day.

Haven't been to dubai. I hear it is beautiful. Always wondered how can a middle east city be very tourist friendly. Do they have any rules against alcohol?

That's super cool mate. Where are you from?

Sorry for your loss mate. Losing a loved one sucks, unlike business it is very hard to bouce back when that happens..

In 2021 I want to be quit my job (classic, right?) and live off youtube and twitch and maybe some occasional freelance jobs. And maybe buy my own property.
What do you stream on twitch? Gaming content? How big is your youtube channel? I am all about quiting 9-5 ::D

I will start in January I hope. I'm building a decent gaming setup right now for League of Legends streaming. Right now I'm making videos for my first youtube channel which is not in the gaming niche.

That sounds great. 9-5 is a pain in the ass even if you're working from home. At least for me it is.

I want to visit Cambodia, or Thailand finally.

I'll be interested to see how the COVID-19 vaccine and vaccine distribution affects our lives. Will some events or venues require proof of vaccination for admission? Will there be unforeseen effects of the vaccine? Humanity has a lot of hopium invested in the vaccines right now. I'll be very interested in how we feel about the vaccine in 1 year from now.

Otherwise, 2020 was my toughest year in business yet as my primary revenue stream was built around an industry that was devastated by COVID. Cheers for brighter days in 2021.

Unless you aren't already established, it is a very competitive space to get into. If you are sure this is the path you wanna take, don't quit your 9/5 until you have few thousand followers in youtube.

While we are at it...Why not Indonesia?

It is going to be interesting. I haven't looked into it. Is there an established software/app to track to track taking the vaccine?. If not, it is an interesting idea to make bank. ;)

Probably becoming bankrupt from all the plane tickets, hotels and restaurant bills. Had no idea a human could read so many books, watch so many YT videos and do so much cooking&drinking on a daily basis.

Why not Indonesia?

Any suggestions?
