You need premium pbns, niche edits (higher Rds plus traffic), guest posts, social signals, improve your site speed, post some new content or update the existing content, repeat this formula for 3. - 6 months you’ll take him down.

Simple, as always:
1 - better content
2 - better onsite
3 - better bl's

Mix of it or take strong advantage in one from mentioned points - if you even can't jump over them, you will grow much higher (but ofc - in all 3 would be the best).
 
You've targeted a competitive niche. Try guest posts & focus on plugins that improves site speed etc..
