How would you revive / retarget a sleeping Youtube channel?

Back in the days (pre-covid) I opened a youtube channel to post dumb gaming highlights & some of it went "viral". Never monetized it, was young and after a couple months I was over it so I let the channel die out in peace. Fast forward to this day, this channel still has [5-10k] subscribers. Not much for today's standards, but still something. Doesn't get much views either, still about 100/month from its old videos.

What would you do (or did) with a dormant Youtube channel? What even are the metrics to look out for to see if its even healthy? Is the Youtube algorithm comparable to Google, do I potentially sit on an Expired Domain? I don't know. But you might.

So what would be your "business oriented" (profitable & scalable) plan in current day and age. Would you rebuild something organic? Affiliation? AI/Automation? Hit me.

Can you actually game and live stream for example? If i will be in your shoes will just post gaming sesion and try to see if i can increase for at least 2-3 months

It’s difficult to do this tbh, but I would try seeing what made the channel work and try to replicate that with other videos and see how they perform.

Upload game highlights videos for a week and check how its going
The best way is uploading trending gaming videos or live stream game play you may see results in few months

Post fresh content similar to your old hits, watch what gains views, then scale and monetize with ads or affiliates.
