Yes, just as the title says, how would you promote a software company. In this case you are not promoting a product but a company that produces customized finances software. And there are a LOT of companies like that out there.

Not much content can be written about this kind of service, the buyers are not people searching the net to buy the next hot product/book etc. These are larger companies buying software for their own needs.

Any suggestions ??

Buid simple small software's with your team logo and links. Each time person run the software she got an add messagebox to open link :)

That's a really nice idea linuxoiad, but the thing is this company doesn't produce small sofware. The most important thing is they don't produce commercial solutions. All the work they have done is ordered by people and companies that already knew what they wanted and they worked with them to complete the software.

I think you would have to approach the situation differently. Large companies usually don't buy expensive software based on internet articles or google searches as you said so yourslef. Selling that kind of stuff requires a lot of offline meetings,cold calling etc.

IMO the best way to approach this would be to make a list of potential clients write a nice sales pitch and start cold calling.If you see that your pitch works hire sales-rep and cut them a peace of your commission.

Also talk with your friends if you get lucky some of them might know people that work in companies similar to your target and having someone on the inside to arrange a meeting for you is always nice.

You can check the offline marketing section of the forum as well there are a lot of great strategies explained there.

Exactly my thoughts Haspel

I think you need to make a branding and use crowd technology.
- write experts articles;
- take part in conferences;
- write expert comments under the articles and in forums.

You must attract attention of your potential audience.
