How would you monetize Enchilame.com

Hi guys I recently acquired enchilame.com for a decent sum - Alexa is good, has a boat loads of links and lots of potential.

it was a Mexican clone of the Spanish site meneame.net and I used to use it a lot. It was a site used for aggregating news articles mainly in Spanish. The site never had ads on it but very good traffic as the big "G" seemed to live on the site!

My question is this:
How would you monetize this site?
Going down the same route as before and use the ope source code from meneame.net but incorporating Adsense or try something completely different.

I would start by keeping it in the same niche (Spanish language news aggregator) with ad$ense and perhaps some affiliate offers. See how it does monetarily for awhile with that.

Traffic + This > Can't go wrong

Thanks guys for your imput. What do you think about this idea? I love the site alltop.com and was thinking of using one of the clones of alltop or popurls. I have come up with the onenews wordpress premium theme which is basically a mix of both these sites.

What do you think about using it on Enchilame ?

Gold. I haven't used alltop, but have used popurls a lot. That sort of thing, targetted to espanol, with some social sharing crap the kids love, plus some monetization and social bookmarking and promotion would do great.
