How would you monetize 2.8 million backlinks?

So... I have the capability to put backlinks on 2.8 million pages. They are divided on 10.000s (30,000-50,000 I would guess) of sites on just as many servers, locations and IP's. They are not my sites. Some are shops, some blogs, some CMS some propietary coded etc. There is no "connection" between the sites.

I run some software that people pull from my servers, and some times people forget to remove it, never complete the setup, don't upgrade when required or just don't care. So they are still putting a strain on my server so I am currently writing for them to log in to my site and configure their setup. This is what has generated all the links, but they could be linking to something completely different.

The links can not be placed inside the main content of the sites. Typically in the bottom, sidebar or top of the site. These are not hacked sites and there is nothing illegal about it, although morally it could be questionable.

It can be the same links or many 1000s of different link variations including text before and after the link. Currently I am promoting one of my own sites and have 1.7 million links registered in WMT.

I was wondering what you think might be the best way for me to monetize this. I can change the links within 24 hours to something else automatically.

is it possible to split the backlinks? if yes, then split it and sell it.

Why wouldn't you just use them to rank your websites ?

use them to spam payday loans on an aged website... rank till it burns away, rinse and repeat.

Hahaha... suddenly everyone wants to be my best friend. Lots of Danish people on here. We used to have the exact same link text on (what now appears to be more like 3 million) pages and we got penalized by Google for the keyword, so Yesterday we changed the links to be one of 16,000 different text strings with relevant keyword links. We will see how it goes.

I kind of like the idea of the fuckyoumattcutts web site - we will have to give that some serious thought ;-)
