We're launching an SEO content campaign targeting long-tail keywords in online marketing SaaS niche. We've completed the research phase and have 30 articles ready for publication. Now choosing between several SEO experts. Which questions would you ask them to evaluate their expertise?

A good answer explains the exact process, how they find sites, vet them, and track results. A bad one stays vague, like “we build quality links” with no real details.
 
These questions are designed to elicit detailed responses that will help you assess the candidate's expertise and fit for your project.

You are asking about questions how would you know, if the answers are correct or they are not finding best answers online? If you ask them show me results, they can fake by showing random keywords and sites. How would you verify those results?

Tons of things here. You need to do a lot of work before, you start spending your budget.

Ask them how they track real results, not just keyword rankings, and how they plan to optimize your SaaS content for search intent. Find out if they've worked with similar sites before and how they deal with Google updates. Also, ask what their first month of work would look like.

I’d ask how they plan to get safe, strong links that really help rankings over time.
