How will using a 301 affect my site.

Hey BHW,

I built my website, but want to change the domain because i finalized the brand i want to go with...

Here's my question...

If i take the content from one site and move it over to the other (exactly copy it) then 301 the old domain to the new one.... will there be any type of penalty for dupe content?

I don't see why there should be...

Moving the content over and setting up a 301 is the best way to move domains, and is even recommended by Google as a best practice.
