Just curious as to how well people think the UR and DR metrics on ahrefs corrolate to their rankings. My site is about 2 months old and is at 29 UR 36 DR, not much by way of rankings yet.

Remember that any of these services are 3rd party services and may/may not be applicable in the future and can be manipulated.

All of these metrics are not created by Google - so you can't rely on them entirely.

There's a lot more than metrics you will want to consider.

Did you check whether the domain was dropped before you purchased it? Is it a fresh domain that was never registered?

How big is your site? How's your on page SEO?

It translates pretty darn well to Google rankings (assuming we're not talking about SAPE links, massive spam etc.).
In my book it is the most reliable metric - way more reliable than Majestic's TF and Moz' PA/DA (Moz is terrible by the way).

You can easily inflate those metrics without getting a ranking boost. I don't base myself on those metrics at all.

Like most things, it is subjective. I know that for some keywords I target the top 3 SERP shows really low DR/UR sites/pages but when you look deeper with other products the sites have hidden PBN's which are blocking AHREFS bot. So, I have learnt the hard way to make sure you do a thorough competitor analysis before dropping any cash. As others have said, AHREFS can be influenced both ways. I use Semrush to help me find hidden PBN's and I am sure that others will tell you better tools/methods to find them.

Metrics have nothing to do with ranking, period.
