I found an expired domain which has a ******** backlink from a .edu site. I am wondering if it will be worth it.

Let me tell you something from my experience, Edu links are just hyped thing. Plus most of these edu links are not as powerful as you think. Only the ones from articles on well-established edu blog. If you are thinking about profiles, long subdomains like xxx.xxx.xxx.edu, they are just regular links. Just my opinion.

As of today, .edu domains are so full of thoughts that I wouldn't even go there. A lot of people are hacking links there and getting clean spam despite great domain values.

I also missed all the fashion, but to this day a lot of ads and services are based on such links, which is why people ask.

Having a .Edu backlink for a expired domain won't help. BTW, You can use .Edu Links as T3.

In my opinion, EDU links are very hit and miss when it comes to building links.

If you can find a high powered, exclusive EDU link then fantastic.

However, if you are building EDU links on sites such as XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX.edu, then it's more or less the same as building on a regular domain, in fact, you may see some better results from a regular domain.

It's not always a good use of your time to go for these EDU links, not anymore anyway.

But as I said, it's my personal opinion.

A single edu link won't make your website dominate Google search. Diversity is and lot of referring domains is what Google looks at.
