yep, definitely simplest method is to use your pone number or a number of a friend that you can have access to after some time, especially if you'll be needing that account for the long run

There are a few text apps in the appstore that still work on IG. However, your success rate will be pretty low so it'll take awhile to find a working one.

Otherwise, there are bhw members that sell $1 PV's all over the forum.
