To write higher-quality materials than your competition, you have to pay close attention to three factors.

First, study your target keyword.

When people enter that keyword into Google, what do they expect to see?

Sadly, so many SEO "specialists" and "copywriters" are completely blind to this.

They think they only need to mention the keyword in the title, in the first paragraph of their content, and the sub-heading a certain number of times in the body, and their content will rank.

It doesn't work that way... at least, not anymore.

People enter keywords into Google for a reason.

Find that reason and deliver on it.

You have one job, and this is it.

Number 2, make sure you write contextual content.

The first step to establishing context for targeting keywords is to put the keyword in the title, the first paragraph of your content, and at least in one sub-heading in the text's body.

The next step is to find related questions or keywords and mention them naturally in the body of your text.

Please understand that you shouldn't just drop the keywords randomly.

They have to flow from the content and add value to whatever you're writing about.

Number 3, your content must be competitive by comparison.

What do I mean by "competitive" by comparison?

Take a look at the top 10 results of your target keyword for your article; how long is the longest article? What do those competing articles focus on? What do they leave out?

The name of the game is to come up with comprehensive content.

Meaning, it's as if the reader has read all ten other competitor results just by going to your article.

Next is your content has to be updated.

It has to be formatted in a readable, scannable, understandable, and actionable way.

If you can do all of these, then there's a good chance that you will dominate your competitors.

Simply writing longer content will not cut it; simply repeating your target keywords several times will not cut it.

Google is far more intelligent than you give it credit for.

Do yourself a big favor and follow the three benchmarks above to create content that people would want to read and Google would want to reward with higher rankings.

That's how you play the game.

It is 2021, and things are not going to get easier in the coming years.

I don't know how to write better than competition if you don't battle-test your writing.

First test it, then adjust, edit, update and you know. Nail it with time.

The google search console reveals new information every single day.

So new searches appear and intentions by users.

For example in technology every single day is producing new information.

All you need to do is work and be dedicated. That's essentially it.

Check something like UX writing and follow some strict guidelines.

And freaking make that persona, so you know who is behind the screen!

If you are talking about evergreen niches, you can't rank with just content.

But if you are a physicist, you can probably rank under any physics related keyword writing academic content.

It's just that commercial stuff is hard to beat due to the amount of spam published.

But maybe you can hack someone's brain and keep them reading forever.

Do it like a craft and it'll be hard to fail.

I would also suggest, in addition to all the excellent keyword and topical relevance advice in this thread, it would help if you polished up your sentences a little, improved your grammar etc. A better command of the English language (assuming you're writing your articles in English) goes a long way in making your brand seem more high quality.

There is a tool for creating articles called Jarvis AI, I have no idea if it's good or not but you can google it and check if it helps you with that, I've only seen good reviews for it and you can also look at how your competition structures his articles and try to copy it and add more keywords and more images and make sure to have an appropriate alt text for each image.
You can also link it with Surfer SEO and run it through Grammarly to check for grammar corrections.

What ways to make my article better than competition?

add more pictures?
Same subheader but make it longer than competition?
They only way to write better than other is research subject well and keep information very accurate. Sure you can write in details to make it longer but be on point.

Simple. By being a better writer.

More content, more images, more videos, etc. are useless if your writing is mediocre.

When I write articles, I usually add supporting detail and use linking verb, dont lack examples

Thanks, I think rewriting the content from a unique angle is hard

Thanks very much, you give really two great points.

Maybe we don't need to write an unique article, just a comprehensive article from collecting top 10 articles

Thanks. Yes, it is an evergreen niche, everything can be read from other people's articles. I think it is hard to write an unique article.
A lot of sites paraphrase these days. New POVs and original content does a lot to stand out from competition.
As mentioned by others, present your articles in a more inviting way. Write 3-5 sentences in a paragraph and
make sure to include your keywords in the beginning, middle, and ending paragraphs of the article.
Thanks, I have followed it and add into the keywords

Don't forget that, at he end of the day, the user will read your content. So, don't just focus on length but try to write articles that are more informative if compared o the ones of your competitors. Try to add value through your content, answer queries with proper, detailed and useful information.

Also, of course word count and content structure play a (big) role, but long content with little value, won't bring you anywhere.

Analyze your competitor content by the keywords they are ranking for, will also help you targeting your copy towards those same keywords (again, by adding value, not just more paragraphs).
