How to verify the article that you written is unique?

But with the free copyscape you have to actually upload it to your site 1st then check the new contents url in copyscapes database....then if it is duplicate content decide if you want to take it down.
Correct me if Im wrong but that seems like a hell of alot of trouble. If you catch a Dupe Copy then you just wasted all that time
There should be a much easier way.
