How to use WeChat pay as a foreigner?

Hey all!

I am travelling to China in July for both business and travel.

I have been advised that setting up a chinese bank account is a good move as it will enable me to use wechat pay, as a lot of people use it over there and it will enable me to seem as if I have been to China for business before and be taken more seriously by my colleauges.

Is opening a Chinese bank account difficult to do?
