How to use thesis

Hi guys, since I have zero experience with thesis (and with wordpress too) I wanted to know how do you use thesis. Do you use it to design a wordpress theme from scratch or do you use other free themes?

Thesis itself is a theme. It runs more like a CMS than a free theme, as you have a lot more control over the aspects of your site.

You do need to know some code and, more importantly, WP hooks. But once you start using it, it quickly becomes your favorite theme!
