I just got back into using Scrapebox today and used the old Scrapebox backlink checker alot but it's gone now.I installed the new backlink checker and it's not working.I load my URL's but can't hit the start button.Am I missing something? What do I need to do to get this thing working?

Thanks in advance.

You need to get a Moz API key, can be free or paid and set it up in the addon.

Edit -

Register your key here: http://moz.com/products/api/pricing

Within the addon click on account setup and put in the details requested in the format it says.

Thanks alot i'll give it a go.

I got it going now and have one more question. It's pulling links from one link at a time with a 10 second delay. Is this adjustable?Seems like it's doing one thread at a time.I checked to see if there are settings for it but didn't see any.

That's a limitation put in place by moz on free api accounts. You can either pay for an account with them or setup multiple accounts using proxies and add them in the account settings section in the addon.

Oh ok kool.Looks like i'm gonna have to make a few accounts.

Maybe it's just me but I keep getting errors that stop the process - 401's and the like. Getting the error I can understand, but why does it mean that the checker then has to stop and sit there? It's making checking decent sized lists a nightmare.

I have used it a great deal since the last update, so can't really give any solutions at the moment. I'll take a look later, but you might be better off emailing support or posting in the sales thread. Loopline always hangs about there and he's a fountain of knowledge.

There's a new versions of the Backlink Checker and Page Authority addons just uploaded which continue if there's any sort of error. So please update to the new versions of these addons. Also thanks to Loopline, a new video added today for the backlink checker which you can check out here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBtfOkZWyVA

That seems to have done the trick - I'm back in action again! Glad to see the move to Moz - much better.

Anyone could help me with the Scrapebox backlink checker 2? I create the API account as instructed from the video guide but when hit the start button it keep saying "error fetching". What I did wrong? the account setup is: Access-ID|SecretKey|ip:xxxx:username:password.

there is a bug in this addon, api without proxy works, but when you try to add api with proxy it doesn't show on accounts list, i made second account in moz and want to use it with proxy but i can't, sweetfunny please fix this

Another tool you can use is SEO Spyglass. They claimed that their database index of backlinks is much larger than Ahrefs and Majesticseo.

I found that the old one (back checker 1) was so much better even though you had to check the links with the link checker. I bought spyglass in 2010. I still have a subscription, but it used to be a lot better in 2011 until yahoo site explorer shut down. Today I use a combination of spyglass, scrapebox backlink checker and google operators with scrapebox Link: URL Linkdomain: URL. But I know a lot of the links are still hidden. By the way scrapebox back checker 2 is fixed now, but my personal opinion is it's horrible compared to original. I hope this helps someone

Did this ever get fixed? I started running backlink checker 2 today for the first time. I'm getting all 401 errors, basically. I'm using APIs with shared proxies with passwords. Let me know if anyone else is using this with shared proxies with passwords and having success. Thanks
