It really depends on various factors. Reddit is a place where there are different groups - they call it communities. You can promote your services, ask questions about your business etc. In short, Reddit is for a lot of things. The best way is to just dive into the forum and learn as you go.
 
What I would focus when talk to Reddit is "subreddit", it's a place for people who have the same interest, demand on a niche. From there, you can promote your products, etc.
 
Mostly promote things, most guys I know promote OF models
 
Great traffic source if you know how to do it well, u can grow your own subreddit and control which website urls are allowed to be posted with automod for example, its awesome
