How to use Chitika on Wordpress.org?

Okay, so I applied at Chitika, got in. I have a wordpress.org site.

Then I tried putting a banner in my sidebar, didn't work.

Then I tried putting the banner in my headers.php, didn't work.

Then I check out their plugin (which I'd Much rather not use), and it says that it may not work with the new Wordpress version. Then I download it, and I get some error at some point. So I check out the other plugin for chitika, but something was not cool with that either. And actually, I'd rather not use a plugin for this, especially an unknown one made by some random person.

So then I check out the blogger instructions that chitika has, and it seems that all you have to do there is put your code in a gadget. So I try using a widget (gadget) at wordpress again, but it wouldn't show any ad or anything.

Then I put my chitika affiliate link in my sidebar, and that was that.


And now I come here to ask, how can I use chitika ads on a wordpress site?

Come on you guys, I'm sure a lot of you have used it on your wordpress sites.

Are you sure you don't have Adblock installed? Ads should be running without any problems.

No Adblock, guaranteed.

So I take the same chitika banner code, I put it in a gadget on blogger just now, the ads show immediately.
I put the same code in a widget on my wordpress.org (self-hosted) site, no ads.

Why is this happening? What did I miss?

Do you mean a self-hosted WP blog ? Because if you meant Worddress.com blog then they don't let you use ads and some Ad networks are totally banned I think.

I said it, self-hosted, wordpress.org, hostgator. I should be able to run ads.

Well, I guess the only thing I can do is use Chitika on a blogger I got, and look for some other network for my wordpress site.

If someone sees this thread at some point and can help me out I'd appreciate it.

Okay, so I moved on to getting them in blogger, and I noticed that I can place a code in the Sidebar in a gadget, but I cannot place a code in the template and make it work.

So I googled for a solution, and, why didn't you say so??

It makes them work on Blogger, and I'm going to try it for my wordpress site in a moment too, maybe it will work.
