How to upload xsitepro files using different ftp software?

Its hard to guess what your problem comes from, if you don't post here some details:
-the kind of your internet connection (e.g. dial-up, wireless, GPRS, ISDN, ADSL, DSL, cable etc.)
-your Internet connection's usual upload speed
-ftp software used
-the kind of error message you get
-the settings of your ftp software (binary or ASCII transfer, passive mode enabled or not etc.)
Sorry guys here is the error
227 Entering Passive Mode (74,86,20,181,24,168)
STOR XSitePro.crc
553 Filetype not allowed. File XSitePro.crc won't be saved.
QUIT
and I get a registration error when I close the application and open xsitepro again. What I do is uninstall and install again.

Thanks for the details.
I am not using XSitePro, thus I'm not sure if you really need to upload the .crc file.
But, if you really need to upload it, you can avoid the "553 Filetype not allowed" error message by renaming the file from XSitePro.crc to XsitePro.___ . You will rename the file back to XsitePro.crc using the control panel of the site after it has been once uploaded.
I'm curious about your feedback, if this solved the issue or not.
I tried searching for the xsitepro.crc file but I can't find the file. it's kinda weird.

I think artswerdstone was on the money with changing the file extention first.
I personally use filezilla.. its free and really simple.. and it is good with changing between ASCII and binary depending on the file.
Not being able to see the file may be a simple hidden file issue within the ftp program.
It certainly doesnt show .htaccess files by default so your extension may be similar. Not sure on that one. Although some servers do ban certain file extensions by default but haven't heard of your's being so.
Really thing changing the file extension locally then ftp to server then change extension by whatever means you have available.

I get what your trying to say. I really tried looking for the said file can't find it. I thought of the idea that it may be hidden and enabled hidden files to be displayed but still no luck.
The file xsitepro.crc should be located in the installation directory or the directory where my xsitepro files are saved but they are not. even when I publish the files locally and I check it their is no hidden or any .crc file found. I tried scanning my entire hd but no xsitepro.crc file was found. and when I uploaded the files (without the xsitepro.crc file because I cannot find it)using cute ftp there was no errors in the upload, errors are only present when I use xsitepro to upload the files.
Another problem I see is with the rss feed can't get this to work either. when I view the uploaded page and click on the link with the feed it gives out the error, error reading rss feed. do you think this has anything to do with crc file
Please if anyone can point me to the right direction I would reall appreciate it

Nope. Usually CRC files are used to check another file's integrity or authenticity.
Because I have no any crystal globe to guess what happens on your server, I can advise to read again documentation and check if the actual file and folder permissions are conforming to the requirements stated in the docs.

if you look in the exsitepro-data folder you will see numbered folders upload those files inside the numbered folder that corresponds with the site you want to upload via firezilla and its done
