hello
i need information about unmanaged vps server
i'm new to vps . so can anyone tell me how i can make ftp account on vps server and upload my website to vps server

hello,

it all depends on what os you are working , if you are using windows and on your vps linux then:

-winscp might be handy for managing files - this way you don't need to create ftp account to upload your files
-apache for serving websites

Install VSFTPD on Linux with putty and configure it. You will be able then to upload files with FTP clinet like FileZilla. Hope this will help you.

You can install PureFTP server on you VPS. If you had listen to me now you was gonna save so much hours and headache. You could go for VPS with www.webuzo.net and get it with preinstalled webuzo control panel ready for use. Managing un-managed server is not that easy if you don't have basic skills.

Anyway... go google and search for some tutorials to start with.

You can install cPanel in your linux server and then you can easily upload the files using filemanager. Please be informed that you have to purchase the license for that which is around 15$/month
