The problem you are encountering is that the initial 300 views are on a real-time counter which doesn't employ any filtering on the views (In other words its pretty much a fake view count)... To get past that 300 point you have to gain "legitimate" views (By legitimate I mean views that COUNT, not some shitty browser bot that refreshes your video every second), your video isn't frozen it just isn't receiving any views.
For a round-about idea of how many views you need to go past the 300 point you should check your Analytics, here you can check how many views have counted in comparision to the "fake" view count.
