Hi,

I have some questions about SEO listing below:

1. I have submitted several articles to article directories, and some links to link directories, how do I know they link to me? Any software program can help me find out?

2. How do I let Google notice my back links or articles on other sites? If I have submitted links and articles, it's worthless if google doesn't index them.

3. How to make those back links last longer?

4. How to improve the number of "link in" on Alexa, I think that number really shows the quality of back links.

To find who links to you use Yahoo Site Explorer and Google Webmaster Tools - also use an analytics program like Google Analytics to see where the visitors are coming from

Try and social bookmark all your articles in several article directories. This way you can be sure Google and other SEs will find your links. Just submit them to one or two top social bookmarks. Personally I use digg as google love it and usually index my pages in less than 72hrs.

Make a Squidoo lens and point it back to your site. Google loves them. Don't forget to add a sitemap and submit it to Google in Google Webmaster Tools.

Other questions about back links. If I have one article on article directory like ezinearticles.com, and google found it, do I still need to keep adding articles to ezinearticles? Or I should move to other sites and get some back links from other sites?

And in order to improve my site's ranking on google, how many backlinks need to be checked by Google? Is it possible to get hundreds of back links but just a few traffic?

Hi,

I have some questions about SEO listing below:

2. How do I let Google notice my back links or articles on other sites? If I have submitted links and articles, it's worthless if google doesn't index them.

1. Ping the url of your articles/links. I use the nifty ping-o-matic tab in firefox posted earlier here.
2. Copy the url of your articles/links, then go to feedity*c0m and create rss feeds from your url's.
3. Submit these created feeds to rss aggregators with Rssubmit or equivalent. Submit to manual directories for high value links.
4. As added measure, I also submit all feeds to feedage*c0m

Google usually shows up right after step 1, Yahoo arrives within 24 hours, Msn within the year.

Hi, here is my backlinks report, google and msn shows my site has no backlinks, but thousands of search results, but yahoo shows my site has 277 backlinks, does it mean google doesn't index as many pages as Yahoo? or my site got banned?

sorry, forgot to post it:

It depends on site authority.
Firstly Ezinearticles is a great source of traffic as it has the potential of getting SE traffic if you use appropriate long tail KeyWords in your title.
Secondly I usually add an article to ezinearticles and then after verification I spin it and make another 10~20 articles out of it (with uniqeness of at least 40%). Then I will submit them to other article directories.

And in order to improve my site's ranking on google, how many backlinks need to be checked by Google? Is it possible to get hundreds of back links but just a few traffic?

Again it depends. This time you need both links popularity and links authority together. For links popularity you have to build links from pages with both related/non-related content, ********/nofollow tag, with PR and without PR. However links authority come with related content and "legit" ******** links.
What I suggest you is to get 100~200 ******** links from pages with PR1+, then try and build your links from related websites based on your niche.

Also don't try to find your Backlinks stats from google by searching :
Link:w3.yoursite.com. Google is very conservative about revealing sites' backlinks stats. You need to find everything through googlewebmaster central.
