I opened a new eBay store today after I found a good dropshipper.

I made a nice looking store and logo.

I have about 100-150 items to list.

Problem is, I have a goddamn selling limit of 10 items or $500 a month.

But the bigger problem is, how do I bring traffic to my listings or in other words customers. How can I top search results with every product I'm posting?

2 posts and both begging - not bothered sharing etc. you dont think people will just wade in and assist you ??

Hi I'm pretty new here this is my first post on BH World

What do you mean exactly by sharing? you mean the link to my store?

1.You can pay to be at the top if you have the money in your budget.
2.The more you sell the higher you get in the listings.
3.If you are a top rated seller and have a great track record you will be higher.
4. Try selling things below cost price to start so you get a bunch of sales, then up your prices to the real price.
5.Verify you accounts and get good feedback to raise your selling limit.
6. Follow the rules, its easy to get shut down on Ebay for doing the wrong thing.

What do you mean pay to be at the top? How do I do that? If you referring to the listing extras like Gallery Plus and Bold I'm not sure it matters to Bst Mach

How can I sale if they don't even see me in search?

I'm just a starter not a top seller, well not yet

I Am selling things below cost right now, hoping it would attract customers but still nothing since yesterday when I opened my store

I can't verify my account by feedback since I haven't done any sales yet

I am a 100% rule follower

Top reference means paying for advertising but you shouldn't worry about that now; If you want to invest in your eBay reputation find a high low cost selling item bulk from a top seller and re-selling it. Starting from scratch is going to take time.

I am working with only one drop shipper for a very specific product line targeting specific customers. I mean, I can't just like post whatever I find in other stores to my store like 0.5$ items it just won't work because the entire store is built around a concept or a niche.

You mean paying eBay for showing at the top? Like buying advertising space? Lol that's going to cost a fortune not the kind of promotion I was talking about.

If you want your results to be highlighted then you have to pay for gallery listings and promote your listing which costs money....A lot of people view results by cheapest first or ending soonest....if you want to be near the top all the time then you need to have hundred or thousands of listings ending every 15 minutes

Free shipping pushes you up the best match
All my items are free shipping indeed

I already have Gallery Plus, Subtitle and Bold applied to my listings (well only 4 listings with variations because I have a selling limit of 10 items / $500 month)
But I'd rather want them to show higher than be bolder. I think all these extra upgrades don't really matter to Best Match

As a new seller I've found it impossible to compete with the big boys, although a few of my items are flying out.

What is moving my stock is this: if you've got the balls, sell items at an auction starting at 99p (or cents or whatever) with no reserve on a 7-day auction. Time it to finish when your buyers are at home in front of the computer. If you're worried about not getting enough to cover costs then you need to rethink your products.

If it gets to about 50 views and no bids or watchers then your listing is no good. If it gets to 4 days and only 4 or 5 views then your main image is not inciting people in or your title/item specifics are wrong. If you are getting views and watchers but items are selling at a low price then you know your product is wrong and you need to move on to something else. You can adjust to ensure your items sell for the highest price.

Let the Chinese and the powersellers fight over the BINs. There are loads of second hand stuff going at auctions, but not much 'new stock' sellers using auctions.

holy
f***ing
sh*t

i got my first order omfg!!!!!!! Only 2 days after opening the store omg im so f***king excited im gonna fu**ing sh*t my f**ing pants

AND HE BOUGHT 4!!! NOT 1!!!!! FU**ING 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!! VERY SMALL MARGIN THOUGH BECAUSE I GAVE IT A LOW PRICE ON PURPOSE TO GET SOME GOOD FEEDBACK FIRST AND RAISE MY SELLING LIMIT

OMG THIS WORKS LIKE A MIRACLE

AND THATS WITH ONLY 4 ITEMS IN MY STORE (NOW 3 AFTER HIS PURCHASE OF ONE ITEM IN ALL 4 VARIATIONS) I CANT IMAGINE IT WITH THE 150-200 ITEMS IM GONNA POST SOON

You're gonna get what you but in period whether it's time or money. Did the auction work ? Sweet!

Screw that sh*t

Why don't I get any more sales?

WHY MY ITEMS ARE LOW ON BEST MATCH

I'LL NEVER MAKE IT THIS WAY

I WANNA JUST CRY

I wanna call eBay to ask them to lift my selling limit but I'm not sure if I should call them after my customer gets her items she bought from me (2 days ago) or can I call them now

I haven't shipped it out yet, I will tomorrow, and she will get it by weekend

When would be best to call them?

I usually do the shortest auctions possible. That way they're always close to the front page.

But what if it doesn't sell eventually? Then it cost you money to relist it right?
