Is there a tool to check out how many visits a website you don't have admin access to is getting?

try to look them up in alexa, but they can also use bots to increase their rank.

Semrush.com is decent. The numbers aren't super accurate, but you see what they are ranking for. But word of mouth and return visitors wouldn't be shown.

compete*c_o_m gives you estimates. It's better if you have access to install google analytic though.
