how to target only uk traffic?

i started in facebook and see how it goes.

Target UK related forums and participate there with your keywords, So there is a chance to get rank well in google.uk as well you will get traffic from UK people. .

Moreover, Build links generally, usually it will bring your site up for sure in UK as well. . And try google local mapping if you wish. . Latest trend as you guys know!!

tanks for the tip i was thinking on uk forums o same niche. 1 question offtopic. realy facebook ads are a bit expensive. i mean sugested bid between 0.90 - 1.11$? kind of high i just hope it will convert well.

i first tought paying for impresions will cost me less. i was wrong : 29800 impresions/ 6 clicks = 5.87$. no i set the bid to 0.90/click and see how it goes

anyone having succes with facebook ads? share some tips?

Hi icemuscle, just an update from my own experience concerning my earlier post here above and the importance of the "right" spelling. As I am constantly running tests, I reported above with an example from one of my blogs concerning "spain holiday".

As this blog is running a bi-lingual experiment (Spanish - English) I explained how it changes rankings on .es, .com and .co.uk

When I placed Spanish content it went up the SERPs on .es to #3 and lost rankings on .com and .co.uk

Yesterday I placed an UK spelling article on that very same blog, today I am back to first page on co.uk again for spain holiday. I am amazed about the new G-speed recognizing his kind of content changes.

Still testing but my best bet for the moment is exactly this, use UK spelling and I think you will be fine. (may be not as fine as in my example as I use a London server for this blog but it's still a .com not co.uk domain)

For sure, went directly down from 3 to 8 on .es !

It's not very much of a difference but G values it different.

center US - centre UK
neighbor US - neighbour UK
color US - colour UK

and so on...

I personally wouldnt have bothered with a .com domain would have been better with .co.uk

If you start by using local keywords to work on and concentrate on UK keywords you will be fine

Why do you even care about that small island(UK). There are enough morons still in usa to target.

Even though it's small, It means a lot for marketing and there are more competition to target UK. . So it's not small. .
