Can help you out with a list of uk blogs for commenting if you send me your KWs. The .com is ok, try to use uk spelling as much as possible in your content, it's a big ++ ! I tried that with spanish content on an english language blog and it worked wonders for .es listings (actually #3 for - spain holiday - first page for - spain holidays and holidays in spain - too, due to this action which was just a test).

.co.uk will get prefarance over .com and if you are promoting somthing that is
local like "dentist"then you have got your work cut out as the most of the high
ranking dentist websites are all listed in yell and other hight ranking local directories
which google take into account when ranking a site

.co.uk domain, natural UK english language, on UK server, plus:

Code:
<meta name="Distribution" content="Local"/>
<meta name=content-language" content="en"/>

Hope that helps!

I agree but would use:
<meta name=content-language" content="en-uk" />

All of the above including go to google webmaster and change the settings. I would look for uk directories and add your site etc. also add to google maps and give it a uk address etc.

Well I am not sure if you are searching for organic traffic or direct, but you could try with PPC advertisment either in Google's ad network or in Facebook.
