Ok, firstly, you cannot stop random people from NOT using the search bar, that is something you will just have to get use to.

There is however a way to keep the large amount of people doing this, stopping.

If noobs don't use the search bar, they post in thread and make it harder for people using search bars to find what they need, that person then stops using the search bar and resorts to posting a thread, and the downward spiral just continues.

1. DO NOT REPLY IN THE THREADS THEY MAKE!
I don't know why people do it, but when you comment on a thread, it skyrocks straight to the top for everyone to see again, and no one wants to see that happen. Best thing to do in the first place is not even complain or mention anything. If you don't want people to post their threads, stop posting massive images of ashamed star trek guys and that "oo look, its THAT thread again" , it helps no one.

2. DO NOT REPLY IN POSTS
One thing i am starting to notice is that people (especially that guy from the UK, not me some guy wth like 500+ posts) keeps posting the exact same thing in every thread in hope of attention, just don't reply, they will learn to use the search bar on their own.

3. BE HELPFUL
Some questions need answering, we were all noobs at one point, it just makes sense to help some people with those difficult questions. Simply saying "google it" is a really d*ck move and when you google it, it takes you right back to the thread you created. Be helpful but dont spoonfeed. By this i mean, just point them in the right direction in some way, even use a phrase which they could google.

4. CHANGE TOPICS
These new people will only continue to come back if the same topic remains, when everyone is talking about a hot topic, more people will join. Find something else to discuss and please do not start arguments.

Now you know the 4 ways to stop all this BS threads from spreading, do all of us a favour and follow them.

Now all we need is a tutorial to teach n00bs how to post in the right place.
Youtube? Really?
I think you pwned yourself there mate.

Im sorry, but did you actually read my thread? I do not understand what you are saying, therefore edit your post in much simpler terms.

I post this here because YouTube is the section which has been bombed with new-low quality-leeching members, thus giving the community overall a bad name.

heheh is it possible for bhw to make a newbie lounge and have them limit to post only on that? until they become regular member and they can post anywhere...

Registered march 9 and preaching on march 15? Nice.
You shouldnt even be allowed yet to see the Youtube section.

OP, you should write a guide on how NOT to make shitty threads like this and sell on DP & WF

Who cares if i signed up 20 years ago and made 31 posts or if i signed up yesturday and made 31 posts?

My level of contribution is what counts and if you want to just go ahead and follow when i became an official member and the number of posts ive done, then perhaps that makes you a post whore :3. Argument invalid.

And to everyone else, what do you mean i got pwned? I've seen like 20 threads alone all regarding the same topic, either complaining about what people post or posting utter rubbish. This thread is to help current users improve, by giving advice, unlike other threads which sole purpose is to complain.

Honestly, it would be nice if people took into consideration what i am saying :/

EDIT: I wouldnt say my thread was bad, it is pretty informative if i do say so myself. Im not one sided but i dont see how you guys think i am? New people are free to make threads however they please, but of course, if you want to stop seeing the same thing over and over, just try and follow my guide, im not forcing you or anyone else to, this is purely to optimise your performance.

Search his posts and see how nice he "contributed" to BHW,... bunch of shits all around our forum. And oh, he's one of these noobs still asking the same questions.

I don't understand why you guys are hating on me lol

No? You post like some prophet who thinks people will listen to, and yet you signed up for the bot 6 days ago lol.

If nobody reply to their threads they will start another thread.

You can believe what you want, but ive been monitoring the youtube segment for a while and felt like there was no need to make an account. If you don't want to believe that, that is your choice.

I haven't seen that happen, but isn't there a rule about reposting a thread over and over? I mean, my thread isn't full proof but it is much better than people just insulting new members.

Actually, it looks like you signed up March third to get the SPK bot.
I didn't see much contribution after that except for this quote, and it has made my favorites so you did contribute in a way. :)

Your statement is false in survival ways.
And to answer your latest post: It is not the same one posting the new threads over and over again.
If you answer though, it just might prevent another newbie from posting as it sets them on the right track.

Ignore as you see fit and thanks for that quote, I really like that one. :D
