How to start dropshipping. Does it actually work?

Hello there,

I have been reading a bit recently about dropshipping, and looking forward to start soon. It seems a bit complicated for now, given that I know very little about it. I would like a practical guide (or tips) especially from those who have started out and have been growing in the business.
NB: I am in Kenya.

As an answer to your title. Nope it doesn't work that's why so many people do it :D

Anything you will ever do in life starts with you having no knowledge ;) it's a learning process and dropshipping is NOT easy and a LOT of work.

Yeah, I'm known for saying how it is instead of sugar coating it. You will find that my guides never start like "Make easy 10k a month with..." but you will read that in my dropshipping guide.

Feel free to reply in that thread with any questions you have although many things already have been discussed in there I'll reply when I get to it.

Even on my BD I'm around :eek::D

There are some good answers as well, people most likely just answers once (they won't gonna go to every thread and paste the same answer over and over again). So you will save a lot of time if you actively look for it by yourself :P

$1M in 60 days this year :D

So YES it does work, NO its not easy, NO it's not a get rich quick scheme
 
Hello,

Drop shipping does work, if you start properly. First test the drop shipper by having them ship the product to you or a friend so you can check how promptly they ship, how the item is packaged and the quality. Once you are comfortable with their service, then you can start having them ship to your customers. Good Luck!
 
To add onto what Cantonman said, when you order items you can take good product shots with it and use it for content etc.
 
Beast what's your profit margin at now?
What was your original margin?
 
OP word of advice for someone just starting out is do Alot ot research on what's product/products your going to sell.

Finding trends and what's hot could work for you just as much as a quiet high margin item that not too many people are selling. Do your homework first and put that into motion.

watch tristan broughtons videos on youtube. some of frank hatchetts videos are okay, he doesn't know much about dropshipping. Be ready to spend some money. Start with a general store. Start with low product price, raise price as your pixel gets seasoned. Start with ATC conversions, create custom conversions(learn this) for each product, for a clean pixel. be ready to go broke testing shit loads of products and scaling into cold audiences ( you will make little to no money in cold audience). Find a winner and Scale big into matured 300 pixel fire lookalike audiences, get rich quick. Anything above 30% profit means your not scaling hard enough. Use only cellphone made video ads. Use aliepxress(aliexpress is just other dropshippers) to start, but be ready to ship in bulk to an agent that will handle your orders for you. Dude who said it is not a get rich quick scheme has obviously never dropshipped before or has not done it correctly. It 100% can be a get rich quick scheme. It 100% is a get rich quick scheme when you know what your doing.

1 most important thing. Always have some cash for back up just in case supplier products got problem.
 
Of course it will work....the real question is “are you willing to work to make it work?

If it works or not that depends on you. But if you don't give you will make it. Just don't quit your job and think that it will work overnight.

I will follow the steps lifehero and see what im missing (probably product research and cold audience scaling). But get rich quick schemes usually require minimal knowledge & dropshipping requires quite a bit for newbies so it isn’t a get rich quick scheme, get rich quicker method for experienced marketers probably.

Do you have any tips? Like what mistakes to avoid and what to focus on? And isn't that market already full right now? I mean isn't it too full to join it? Thanks for any answer! I'm glad to hear opinion of someone who's more experienced :D
