How to start Digital Marketing in 2024?

First - capital. Work abroad, clean toilets, put things together for someone.

Second - live frugal. Don't have a house, don't buy a car, just test ideas. If it's possible, live with parents. If not parents, then very cheap place.

Third - learn and push. Once you know what you're doing, do more ads and accounts to promote your venture with capital you acquire by cleaning toilets.

Four - focus. Once you succeed, try to master your niche even deeper. Instead of switching to another business, find more opportunity in the current one.

Don't diversify and change your mind - that'd be like changing very long road and starting from the beginning while already being 30% into something.

Scrubbing toilets to fund your digital dreams? That's one way to clean up in the marketing game. Guess it adds a whole new layer to 'starting from the bottom.' Just make sure your business plan doesn't go down the drain!

Alex Hormozi is preaching about the same thing, not only Alex Becker. Them and millions of gurus for the latest 50 years..
The point is: start something, inevitably fail, improve, fail less, improve, fail even less and so on. After some time you'll have a process that kinda works 90% of the time. Hire people, teach them the process and you will ... ??? I don't know, stop working, buying a desert island, whatever.

There's really no good or bad time to start digital marketing. With the growing trend of consumerism online, there are many opportunities even in 2024. I hardly believe that the market is actually saturated especially with 7 billion people. Start small and work hard at it and I'm sure you'll do great in digital marketing.

I'm curious to know about your experience with digital marketing. What got you interested in this field?

If you are new to digital marketing, I suggest starting with the basics and gaining a solid understanding of the niche.

Once you've got the fundamentals down, there are plenty of ways to gain practical skills, like freelancing, working on projects for friends, working with an agency, or learning through your own products.

Still takes a lot of work. You can start with zero to minimal capital but if you are consistent at it you can do great and earn lots from it. It's also just finding the right niche that will work with you.

Digital marketing is itself very wide. You should first find out one niche that matches your interest. Then gather as much information you can about it.

It has lot of potential especially in the field of SEO. But you should first make yourself completely aware with latest trends.

5 marketing trends to watch out for in 2024
- Generative AI
- Sustainability of media
- Online TV
- Live sports program
- Ability to reach specific customers and relevance

2024 is quite challenging because, as you know, if you define digital marketing as primarily SEO, things have changed quite a bit.

In fact, given the recent trends in terms of fully AI-generated search results, it's only a matter of time until independent publishers are completely pushed out.

You have to look at digital marketing as a total experience with many different nodes.

This means social media.

This means repurposing content.

This means ultimately building a solid brand.

If you think about it, it's not actually all that bad.

For the longest time, digital marketing has lent itself too easily to churn-and-burn tactics.

These are tactics used by people who put up tens of thousands of blogs, fill them with shit, and then most of them get penalized.

But it doesn't matter.

The network attracts enough traffic, which funds the next wave of an even bigger network, and so on and so forth.

I suppose that kind of activity will continue because Google continues to reward that stuff through its current business model.

But once that model goes away, a lot of that will go away too.

So stay three steps ahead of the 8th ball by focusing on building a brand, focusing on getting traffic from many different places, and retaining that traffic through some sort of mailing list.

Jumping into digital marketing in 2024 is a smart move because things are always changing, creating new opportunities. People trust content they create themselves, so using that in your campaigns is powerful. Artificial intelligence lets you personalize messages for each person, boosting engagement. Telling stories is still important for connecting with customers. Plus, using cool tech like virtual reality can make your marketing memorable. There are challenges, like tracking user behavior, but adapting to new ways of collecting data can help. Overall, 2024 is a great time to start learning about digital marketing.
