How to start as article writer?

Hi,
As few projects that I have tried in IM failed miserably I'm willing to try myself in article writing. However I have never written any articles myself before and I would like experienced writers opinion on where and how to start writing articles? Should I go straight for freelancing sites and try to take some work asap, or maybe I should practise before taking any jobs? If so, maybe you have few tips on how and where should I start practising? English is not my native language, btw.

Any help much appreciated.

Make a website detailing your service, prices, etc. Offer sample articles, several ways to contact you and a shopping cart linked to paypal (All simple with WP and plugins). Go to Warrior Forum and DP and add the site and a call to action in your signature..

From there just start posting a lot, answering questions, etc. You'll start to get inquiries and orders, especially if your prices are good.

I think these two threads would really help you get the most out of your article writing skills.

You see, that's the problem, I have no skills yet.

Check out TextBroker. It is actually a nice site for writers that are new to the game.

It steps you through each article, and you can get paid very nice rates per article as well.



I would check that out if I were you.
