When i started online i didn't know how to buy a domain name or install a wordpress But i started learning the basics before reading any advanced strategies. i was reading every blog post online. and found many articles that brag me with their income or stories. as the time passed i learned those people used to blog for years to write high quality content, build backlinks and establish a strong brand online.
The makes them sell more of their own products or products from other marketplaces such jvzoo and clickbank.
My advice always learn the basics before any advanced strategies to make things happen for you. and when you have your own blog. focus on one traffic source, master it, know its secrets and know its best strategies that bring you the most traffic.

1-Spend More hours to know who is your target market and do some keyword research to know your keyword is not competitive so that you get enough organic traffic. if you focus on competitive keywords, you end up with no natural traffic.

I know there are some social media sites. But Your main focus should be facebook. why because everybody has a page on facebook and millions are using it everyday. then why you jump from traffic source to an other. its waste of time and you end up your day distracted and doing ntohing.
