Hello,

I am looking to setup a hosting business in middle east. Could any help me out with the rules and regulations.

Which country in middle east would be better?

Thanks

For it you have to set up servers with high bandwidth. It would be better if you start with reseller hosting first then gradually move forward.

i have to say that try reselling first..

hope it works for you mate...

The hosting business is not easy, it looks easy but requires time, skills, and bank roll to keep growing. For the first year you probably won't make any money because you will be building your client base, providing customer service/technical support, and dealing with growing pains. Once you have a system down then you might start to profit the second year. Remember you have to deal with security, fraud, and technical sides of the business too. I am not scaring you but want you to understand what comes with the territory. I see most hosting companies closed within the first year because they didn't think about all these things.

Like they said, start small (reseller) and build slow. Once you have enough clients then think about going dedicated.

I was wondering, do we need to have expertise in fixing server problems to be in the hosting business? And how much does it cost to start one?

You should have knowledge in Linux management, or you will need to hire a third-party to manage for you, which is aroud $30/month for basic tasks.

Are you looking for a Middle Eastern country to market your hosting services to, to host your servers, to setup a data center at, or just a place to incorporate?

Setting up a hosting service is stupid, it costs millions.

Why not use a hosting company that is already setup, its called affiliate marketing.

This way you just sell hosting, the same way you would sell hosting for your own company, but without investing millions.

You ask the question how do I do it, which means you are already failing.

If you don't have any idea about hosting (managing it) don't bother starting a company. Try to resell at the beginning to avoid bad things. Otherwise you might damage to people's businesses and damage to your own business which it is your hosting company.

The best way to start hosting business is to sign up for a Reseller Hosting Turnkey solution. This type of plans include support by your hosting provider to your clients too and all the required tools like billing and ticket system to run a web hosting company. You can also resell VPS Hosting and Dedicated Server by adding your profit margin.

I have sold many websites to companies in the U.S. I have always preferred to be an affiliate for the webhosts. You can find webhosts that will give you $75 to $100 per sale. I'm not sure if you are dead set on owning a hosting company, but it can be a nightmare if you are not sure of what you are doing.

Good luck on your venture.

If you're not good with server administration (or don't have someone who is) then your best bet is to go the reseller route. It's pretty hard to make a good living from selling reseller hosting, so that is something to really think about.

Go with good managed VPS near your location and Make web site in Arabic language ,Try to push your middle east clients for word of mouth bcz it is best advertisement:)

Web hosting is a massively saturated market so you'd need some kind of edge. Figure that out first. The technical end of it is pretty straight forward. :) In the meantime you could always get yourself a tiny VPS to play with. Test installing software, OS upgrades, etc.
