How to start a career in copywriting

Hello guys I am European and I am 18 years old.
I want to start a career as a copywriter, I have a lot of certificates for a bunch of field(digital marketing BA inbound sales etc) and I’ve taken a course as a copywriter. Now it has been 6 months now of owning and managing 2 websites about liquor and CRM/SaaS with each having their own social media channels and pages. I would like to get a job as a remote copywriter full time or even get started on freelancing.
Can you tell me which steps I need to take in order to get the job? I already have LinkedIn with about 100 connections.
Also is it a stressful career in your opinion?

Why not , we have many here who are looking for a solid copyrighter . You can use some Ai tools to make a good resume for yourself and start with some other ways like :

Freelancer site
Fiverr
Cold mailing
Calling agencies directly

I recommend you to make a portfolio site and send it to who is needing your service . It looks more professional

Copywriting as a career is as stressful or relaxing as you want it to be.
Happy to make a few hundred bucks a month? Striving to make 5-figures a month?
Very different lifestyles you'll have depending on your goals.

You are already on the right way in my own opinion. To land a remote copywriting gig, just build up a portfolio with your best work, connect on LinkedIn, like you are doing already and maybe try some freelance platforms like this FiVERR, not really sure how you get gigs on them though but I have heard, it is a nice one. It can be a bit stressful at times, but the flexibility is a big plus.

I know you're seeking full time employment as a copywriter but definitely don't overlook freelancing as a way to get your foot in the door.

Freelancing as a copywriter is awesome because:

#1) You build up your portfolio with each successful freelance gig

#2) You build a book of repeat clients

#3) You make real money on each job

#4) Your client connections can lead to more projects, referrals, or even full-time employment

There are many stories of people who started freelance with specific companies and were hired on full time later on.

There is simply no better way to gain valuable experience, make money, and get your name out there in the marketplace than freelancing.

Here are three simple steps to get going:

Start with all the freelance job sites like Upwork and Freelancer.

There are some other ones too but both of them have plenty of copywriting jobs to apply to.

Second, get your own website to house your portfolio and put a salesletter on it promoting your copywriting services.

You want it to look professional, if you're not good with web design hire a designer for cheap on Fiverr it will be well worth it.

Thirdly use sites like LinkedIn to network and get in front of direct response companies that are looking for copywriters.

Like most industries, copywriting is all about who you know and not what you know.

Speaking as someone who writes direct response sales copy for Agora and Marketwise divisions, I strongly suggest learning your craft as much as possible before you reach out to people. I started the wrong way, I blagged and blagged and I sure managed to land gigs, but my lack of skills showed through and I didn't get repeat gigs. 13 years later and fences have been mended, but I wouldn't reach out as a newbie. That doesn't mean never reach out of course, because you will want sales records to show and a portfolio. Just don't put the cart before the horse. No shortcuts in the cutthroat world of sales.

Watch good Youtube videos, find a mentor that is nailing it and already successful in your niche, then study, copy and implement all their actions
