how to SSH a linux server?

hey,

Got my VPS, didn't realize it was linux.

They said I need to SSH a linux server?

I've got a windows 7 how do I do this?

Downloaded, strange it doesn't seem to work. I install it etc, enter the correct IP Address, and it asks for username, I enter it, then password and it freezes and doesn't let me type anything for the password?

Even though the cursor is not moving it is accepting key stokes. Just enter your password and press enter

Put following:

Ip Address: Ip address of your service
User: root
Password: Password for your root account (you have got it in activation email).

hey,

yea I tried that, but it said it was incorrectly installed and doesn't even allow keystrokes for the password? what folder does this need to be installed into

Nevermind. Linux is a hole. Going to cancel the VPS and get windows

just copy your root pass
control + c on windows
now select putty and press the left button on your mouse and the pass will be pasted. press enter
And thats it u got root access.
