We're planning on making an automated site. Would there be anyway to have the payments recieved to be splitted 50/50 into each of our paypals? For those who have partners what exactly do you do while spliting the profits?

Well someone has to cut the check. You'e giving us too low informations if you seek help with that.
How often are the payment ?
Who pay the charges (domain, hosting etc)?
Who pays you ?

We havn;t started the business yet we're still ironing out details

If a customer buys a product I would like the payment be sent to 2 paypal accounts. For example someone buys the product for 5$ I would like 2.50$ to go in my account and 2.50$ to go into my partners account.
We will split the bills 50/50

The product is a virtual good so we don't need to worry about shipping and stuff.

I just need to know what the safest/easiest way would be to split. I don't feel to comfortable sharing a business paypal since I only know him over the internet.

There sis no way to send the money to 2 accounts.
One method that requires coding is to change the paypal account the money is sent to every sale. This can be done for sure bu You'll have to hir someone to do that.

Oh,

You should not start a business with someone you can't trust. what prevents him/you from making your own site ?

rapid action script is your solution, this script do exactly what you are saying, you can set up commission like 100% then first payment goes to first parnter and second payment goes to second partner. hope it helps you if you need any additional information just let me know.

Changing the paypal email on every payment is not a good option IMO, because of the chargebacks and other problems. Instead, open a corporate bank account and add that account to paypal. You and your partner can operate that bank account together. Should be a much better solution.

Another solution just to create common paypal that both of you will have access to, so you can both see all transacitons. You can transfer money from it as you wish.

If you really got to the point to chose this option, you shouldn't be doing business together in the first place.

there is no way to receive payment to 2 accounts at the same time.
but there is option to create to login accounts under the same paypal...

As far as the sending money to 2 accounts, Clickbank proves that you are wrong.

He's talking about Paypal. Clickbank has JV but paypal, being a money processor does not.

Dont do it this way you will get raped in fees, just look at the profit the end of the week/month and send it to him?

Clickbank pays thru paypal. A clickbank jv contract is his easiest and safest way to split profit
and get the money put into both their paypal accounts with the least amonut of headache starting out.
I offered a solution. Take it or twist it or leave it.

Paypal does chained payments and chained adaptive payments. You can split 50/50 straight away or time it or say party a gets payment first and they then give x amount to party b..theres loads of different ways to do this through paypal but you need a trader account with paypal

That's not a bad idea but they have pay a ptg to Clickbank/referrers.. Not criticizing your solution though.

What was wrong with rapid action script for this? It works for this rev-share model by simply swapping out whose payment link to show. Super simple, and as far as chargebacks and fees go ... they would be equitable split pretty consistently based on who made the sale.

An alternative would simply be to use a php script or ad/banner rotator to swap out the payment gateways 50/50. Super easy either way. I still say go with rapid action.
