You need to tire yourself out physically during the day, and try to get on a sleep schedule. Another thing is not eating a few hours before you want to sleep. Eating kicks your metabolism up.

Just go for Gym or walking a little more distance will get u strain and that lead to good sleep. In ayurvedic there is kitchen item which i don't know in English but in telugu (Gasalu). You must heat in Pan until they turn to light brownish colour then smell the flavor. It is good for health no side effects. I work in night shifts and have to sleep morning.

Get 1/2 a bottle of fine, fine vodka (Grey Goose anyone?) and bust out 200 squats, or just have a hand shandy :wank:, your choice!

Sleep schedule will only help if you're disciplined enough, I can never follow through. Not eating before sleep is a good advise, I second that, but physical tiredness will not help much in some cases. If you have a lot on your mind, even if you're very tired - you'll not fall asleep fast. I clear my mind just by writing down my thoughts - that way when I go to bed, I have nothing else to think about.

There are a few ways to fall asleep.

    1.Get drunk and pass out.
    2. Do excercise and you will feel tired.
    3.Smoke weed and pass out.
4.You can take pills (Melatonin) to fall asleep. Melatonin is the natural chemical your body produces to fall asleep.

I dont know how to sleepforcelly, but this is how I usually sleep these days.

I keep browsing BHW in my laptop lying in my bed. The battery runs out and am lazy to get the charger. And I fall into sleep.

And in other occasions, My mom/dad shouts at me telling me that you got college tomorrow. :)

Do fifteen minutes of cardio everyday. Cut out energy drinks and soda. Only drink one to two cups of coffee or tea a day. Replace other teas with green tea. Start drinking eight glasses of water a day. Two glasses right when you wake up, one before breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and three glasses in between meals. Get some fresh air and at least ten minutes of direct sun on your face and hands a day. When getting sun do it before 10 am and after 6 pm to not damage your skin. Also wear a moisturizer that wont clog your pores to protect the skin on your face. Listen to some isochronic tones before going to bed can help as well. The neuro three programmer has an isocrhonic tone for chattery minds. There's also a good free websites for isochronic tones google iso-tones.

Chances are that if you're staying up all night, you're not working very efficiently during the day. Schedules are your friend, even as an IMer. ;)

I find the easiest way to fall asleep is to take a hot shower and have a cup of chamomile tea before laying down. If that doesn't work, it's melatonin and a sweet irish cream nightcap.

Even if you manage to force yourself asleep with the aid of supplements/drugs, you'll most likely wake up after a couple hours or get fragmented sleep.

You need to shift your entire circadian rhythm backwards. To do this, simply wake up at the same time every morning no matter what. You'll feel horrible for a couple days, but eventually your body will adapt.

Don't take any caffeine while you do this - you'll transition faster.

One more thing: if you wake up multiple times per night (and this is causing you to sleep in) you could have sleep apnea. A lot of insomniacs have this.

    Speaking from personal experience, unfortunately.
