How To Show Last Updated?Modified Date In Serp?

I tried with plugin but Google still showing the date of published instead of the updated date.

Using GeneratePress Theme and used Wp last modified plugin but G is showing the published date, not the updated one.

I waited more than 15 days and nothing is changing. Do i need to do anything other than adding the plugin?

Any tips and ideas are greatly appreciated.

Try using schema i think this setting sh be there in schema

OK, I use avada theme and gogle shows "last modified date", I just double checked.
I don't know how avada theme does it but I checked the code and has both created and modified dates and google uses modified date.

Best is to use datePublished & dateModified fields in structured data

You need to change the updated date instead of published on the content meta data before the blog post, not structured data. Google scrape this from the content and not from the structured data

I'm confused now... is it structured data or meta data?
I know it's irrelevant for me as avada takes care of it but I'm curious.
