How to set up a Website similar to this?

Has almost the exact same template that i would like to use in site idea that i had with a constant stream of updates from all the site feeds listed.
I sent the owner a message on how he monetized and how he set it up but no response yet.
Does anyone have any idea how one could monetize a site like this and what theme/template this is?
