How to set up a proxy in your browser

To setup a proxy in Chrome that will not set a system wide windows proxy -ie the proxy will only be used when browsing with chrome and not by firefox or IE or other windows services, also probably a quicker way to switch proxies because you can just copy and past proxyip's/ports:

1. Find or create a Chrome shortcut on your desktop or start menu

2. Right click on the shortcut and click Properties

3. In the "Shortcut" tab which should just show up by default locate the box labeled "Target:"
there should be something like this "C:\Users\You\Data\Google\Chr0me\Application\Chr0me.exe"

4. Append, or add the following to the end of the "Target:" found in step 3, replacing "00.00.00.00" with your proxy IP and "11" with your port number: " --proxy-server=00.00.00.00:11"

make sure you include the space and only two hyphens like this" --"

EXAMPLE:
So I've got my Proxy IP and Port number then using the above I change:

"C:\Users\You\Data\Google\Chrome\Application\Chr0me.exe"

into

"C:\Users\You\Data\Google\Chrome\Application\Chr0me --proxy-server=00.00.00.00:11"

5. Click the "Apply" button at the bottom then "Ok" to close the porperties box, now click the icon to open Chrom in proxy server mode.

6. You might wanna ggle "What's my ip" to check that it worked, if you got the target formatting wrong you might still be on your own ip and Chr0me won't tell you, if the proxy is not working you should get something like "Unable to Connect to Proxy" when you try to browse the web.

Now if you have a proxy list you can just copy and past the proxy/port to the end of the command line/Target after " --proxy-server=" .............and bam, you're in Poland - er wherever

for chrome: options > settings > network .. click change proxy settings > connections .. choose LAN settings > check "use a proxy server for your LAN" > fill the ip address and port...
