I m new at this forum but i m happy that i learn a good thing from here i m very thankful the member of blackhat.

thanks apekillape. nice post. Learning new from here :)

i think that changing proxies in firefox does not work well, somehow causes ghosting.

whenever i'm using proxies I just stick with IE. It seems to work better for everything when I'm working on campaigns and stuff. I just use FireFox when I'm browsing for personal things.

First, thanks for your post. I have followed the instructions however I get the following error message:

The following error was encountered:
  • Access Denied. Access control configuration prevents your request from being allowed at this time. Please contact your service provider if you feel this is incorrect.
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong or need to do? I have IE 7. I am using comcast cable. I have tried several Private proxies that I purchased but get the same message when trying to connect to the internet.

Thanks!!!

Ok, here is a question for stupid questions contest.

If I install one proxy on EI, another on Firefox, and 3rd on one Chrome... Does it mean that different IPs will be shown depending on the browser I use?

Ot it can be only 1 IP at a time across the board?

As long as you're using that browser, that IP/proxy will be used.

You're not proxifying your whole machine, just the connection between that program and the internet. So yes, if you're setting a proxy inside of a program, any program, only that program should be using it.

hey, i have got a proxy with user/pass

how do i use it?

suggest any addons?

thanks

By the way, instead of using online proxy websites, you can use the "browser-in" proxy to avoid "blocked" messages from routers etc. for example in college or school. Make sure you got the permission from your teacher/chief before doing so though :p

As always on BHW, thanks for sharing and being patient with all the babies suckling away at the teat. :)

One quick question, in everyone's experience, how do the proxies work with Google accounts, for example if you're trying to write some local reviews or the likes? Do we need private proxies (like people mentioned for Craigslist and such)? I want to write some reviews for a few businesses (legit reviews) of which I have accessed their Google Places account from my computer/IP address, and don't want to raise any flags.

Thanks in advance for taking time to help me out.

Are all software ip address changers useless?
who said that? it depends on what do you want to use them: ie most likely you can't use them for ad posting on CL, but you can use them for account creation on mocospace...

at the same time they can be useless, because their IPs are most likely being abused to hell and they don't offer new IPs (especially whole blocks of new IPs) very frequently

mocospace. Who knew? Sick choons.

I got a Domain Network Service (DNS) conflict message from using Tor(button). Blocked wifi access until I uninstalled Tor. Anyway around that?
Could this help? hxxp://www.zoneedit.c0m/
