Hello,

I am not quite sure whether this is the right category or not, so please excuse me
if I might have chosen the wrong one^^

I am trying to find out how to set different landing pages for different devices or maybe
even block everything but devices with a touchpad for example.

As far as I know this is something people would use a cloaker for, but I would like
to learn the technical aspects behind that and maybe even configure something myself.

Has anyone here already done something similar and is experienced with that kind of stuff?

By the way my websites are running on WordPress if thats somehow important..

You can set up different landing pages by detecting the device user agent and redirecting accordingly, either via custom server-side scripts or using WordPress plugins that handle device-based redirection. If you want to block specific devices like those with touchpads, you’ll likely need a more advanced setup or cloaker. Many also use mobile proxies to simulate various devices and test configurations safely, which helps fine-tune detection and avoid getting flagged.
