How to SEO for Yahoo?

I got my site on the first page of yahoo for a very targeted KW. Just by chance I guess as it is nowhere to be found in the top 50 results in the big G.

The thing is my site is in the 10th spot on yahoo. How do I increase it's rankings?

get more links with good anchor texts

Not really , I paid the 300 usd and I am still ranking better in google than in yahoo ( 12 vs 26 ).
It only took me from 28th to 26th position. For 300 usd! it sucks!

I consider myself lucky because I get double listing at #1(inner page above homepage) for one of my CRAPPY site after some light weight linkbuilding. (Heavy backlinks to homepage)
Actually I'm not happy for the traffic and conversion but for the result because it allow me to feel the grasp of yahoo ranking.
After 3 days, only my homepage left on #3, the inner page gone from top 100. for experiment sake I continue build link to that page slowly and stop build links to homepage. Few weeks passed and guess what? The inner page went back to #2 and now it has already stay there more than a weeks. (Homepage gone)
The page share the same anchor I use in backlinking so I come up with below conclusion:
1) You need link in yahoo too.
2) Backlinking to your homepage and you will get your page with same targeted keyword ranked
However I cannot said this is 100% correct because the sample is too small to have any significance.

About Yahoo Directory,
Honestly I can't find a correlation between G ranking and yahoo directory after months months I done my keyword research.

For Yahoo you need to put your key in URL, title, meta keyword and then just spam as many as backlicks to your page...Yahoo don't care about backlink Quality so all you need is just Quantity!

I never focus on Yahoo.

Given how dominant Google is it's best to focus your efforts there, in my opinion.

I have found, however, that just by optimizing your sites for Google, Yahoo and Bing eventually begin to rank you fairly well, also.

I have sites, not in english, usually I dont check the ranking, in yahoo, the other day i decided to try with MS, and are all in the 1-2 spot, in yahoo.com.
The think that in my country everybody use google local, and may be a small minority yahoo local, so no traffic being on spot 1 in yahoo.

just one xrumer blast for your site , and you will get your site ranked top in yahoo , or in bing.
