how to see if a competitor wordpress site is using a post or a page?

    Hi,

    I like to figure out if my competitor is using posts or pages.

    i know there is some way i can see this in the source code only i cant figure this out.

    Who knows what to look for?

    One way is to look for comments which giveaway the use of posts.

    Pages usually tend to be static, not listed with date included, not given categories or tags. If you see any of these listed items, that could clue you in that it might be a post instead.

    Not sure if this is theme-dependent but I just took a quick look on a page of mine and it seems the post / page element has always an id post-[post-id]. this same element has some classes which also include either type-post when it's a post or type-page when it's a page.
    Edit / add: So when looking at the source code try searching for '<div id="post-' to get the right element and then look at its classes
