I have an account sitting at around 5.5k in the health niche.

I've been growing it with powerlikes since early December and I've noticed the engagement is extremely low (obviously factoring out the total powerlikes).

With the new algorithm, I'm thinking I've been affected in some way. Since your post first only is released to 10% of your audience. I just need to figure out how to get my posts seen by my entire audience.

My account history briefly;

Personal account in December and then switched to Business in January
Autoposting with Bettr then switched to Hootsuite
Post 3 times a day.
Using a decent amount of hashtags

Anything I can do to boost my engagement?

Thanks.

Hey! I can clearly see the reasons why your engagement rate dropped.
Yes, engagement groups are not good and can affect your engagement rate, especially when you stop using them. I personally against engagement groups, because I have heard so many stories when accounts are getting shadow-banned or/and engagement drops drastically. So my advice to boost the engagement rate is:

1) Main: STOP USING ENGAGEMENT GROUPS
2) It was a VERY BAD IDEA to switch the account to Business, because the reach is being dropped (because Instagram wants you to spend more money on ads). SO - you have to switch back to either PRIVATE or PUBLIC account.
3) Try to post 1 post / day. It will lower the daily growth of the account, but surely it will help to boost the engagement rate
4) Engage with non-engagers, scrape them with some tools. Later on you have to see the boost in engagement, later on:
5) Delete/block your ghost followers
6) Post only QUALITY content with GREAT captions
7) Polish your BIO to look better
8) If you are botting, change your follow sources and track follow-back ratio. Optimize your sources by deleting bad-performing ones with better ones.

I don't think one can state this as a fact. Nearly every single legit influencer in my niche is using a business accounts and their engagement looks very healthy (10-20% on accounts with 100k+). My own account is fairly small (2.3k) , but at this time most of my posts reach at least 90% of my audience and select few greater than 100% of my audience (see the screenshot of post performance after less than 24 hours of photo being posted). This is not to say that instagram will not cut out reach eventually, but it doesn't seem to have happened just yet.

Did you buy any followers?

Never bought followers.

I've never used EG's. The business account thing I feel is just a rumour. There's no real way to prove that.

I will try posting a little less, maybe 1-2 posts a day.
