Hello. I’m not trying to sell my account here. I have an instagram account in tattoo niche which has over 365.000 followers, in order from biggest to smallest, from countries like Brazil, USA, Mexico, Argentina, Italy and so on. The other day some guy messaged me on instagram asking me if I interested in selling and offered me 1800$. I didn’t say yes for now. So how to make sure that he won’t scam me? And also that price is low or it good for my kind of account?

If your account is active and engaging I would say the price is too low for the amount of followers that you have(if they are all real and of course).

Enter the transaction through the guarantor. For example PayPal.

How much money are you bringing in with the account?
Not much. I did some shoutouts but all of them were for tattoos so they looked not out of place on my account. A lot of the shoutout offers I turned down because they were complete garbage and irrelevant to my niche. There should be some other better ways of monetization. But I’m bad at finding them.

1,8k is too low for that account IMO. Try looking for a middleman who could help selling your account.

You could sell timed shout outs, like 4-12 hours shout outs that way you don't have to stick to the niche and just delete them when the time has passed. Don't over do it though so you won't annoy your followers.
Based on what you say I would stick to the fact the price is too low for your account size bro, I would say at least 2500$(minimum) or else I wouldn't sell it if I were you.
Your account is large and I assume it's growing daily, try to find yourself a good source of income and don't sell it.

I think the offer is fine. Escrow maybe?

But will PayPal take my side if there’s a dispute from buyer? How can I prove that I sold him digital goods?

I thought so too that the price was low. Great idea on timed out shoutouts. Yeah, it grows on a daily basis. Thank you.

Accepting payment through paypal will always have an element of risk for this type of transaction, If you want to ensure a safe transaction then as suggested use an escrow service. Alternatively you could accept bitcoin for the sale.

I'm pretty sure that this type of thread is not allowed here anyway even though you have stated that you are not selling here, it could still be seen as a disguised sales thread particularly when you have been given the information but you still want to query it more. This could be seen as bumping your 'Sales Thread'

If you completely do not trust each other. Close the transaction face-to-face offline.
