I just found this out today...maybe it is common knowledge and if so then sorry to waste your time. I have a couple Skype accounts that I use to help differentiate between business and personal relationships and it has always been a pain monitoring more than one account at a time, until today I found out you can run more than one Skype instance without any complicated extra Windows users.

Run multiple Skype instances

1) Run Skype, login to Account #1
2) Go to your Start button > Run
3) Type "C:\Program Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe"/secondary
4) Login to Account #2

If your Skype is not in that directory, change it to wherever your Skype.exe is. The key is the /secondary at the end.

To make your life easier, I guess you could add that code to the Target properties box on a second Skype shortcut on your desktop as well.

Nice tip!

I assume then it automatically change the port number it uses then.

Yes, it's old news. It's even available on the official website.

Old news to most of us, but actual news to some others.
