Can anyone recommend a way to research keywords for free, within my web browser?

I downloaded the free version of TrafficTravis, but I have Linux and when I try to "fetch" results for a keyword, I get a message saying that it doesn't work in Wine or Crossover. I also don't have $97 to shell out for the full version of TrafficTravis or MarketSamurai... I'd like to get them someday, but right now I can't.

So does anyone know of a website where I can do this for free? Thanks.

Dude, believe me, there is no need for super sophisticated software to find good keywords.
Google keyword tool is more than enought, I just used BassTrackerBoats's simple method to do research, and found some nice keywords and EMDs.
There was also a great free tool Google Suggestor, but not sure if it's working now.

Personally I use Google Keyword Tool. Sometimes wordsearch but that's once in a blue moon. I then use Google to check the competition. I don't use adwords just organic results so I use Google. Search inanchor:"keyword" and then you can check the pagerank of the top 10 to see the competition. Get as many high pr links and link to a second tier. Drip feed and be consistent with the occasional blast. :p Never had a site banned in Google or nothing. I have many #1 rankings too. :D:);)

Brainstorm ideas, something you are passionate in... then plug your brainstormed keywords into the Google Adwords keyword tool and work with whatever has some nice stats.
