Hi everyone. This is my first actual testing autoblog (finally getting something done!), but there are a LOT of things Im not getting. The domain is bought just for some trial and error for autoblogs because Im going into the health niche.

Anyway, there are no ads and the link is here: *******/2a0C5

After reading, I still do not get how the read more and the original website link is added. Im also not sure about the icon beside the post. And I also cannot carry the picture from the website over to my post despite trying my best to follow your instructions.

Anyway, specopkirbs, how do you add the search box in your technicnews.com???

Sorry if Im a complete noob at wordpress, but Im still willing to learn about autoblogging.

Thank you all so much.

the search box is part of the theme mate.
if you want to link to the original article try using autoblogged instead of wp-o-matic
or as it happens the feeds i used already link back to the article anyway
as for icons beside posts i did it using the category icons plugin
hope that helped mate

So as for your autoblog, do you use wp-o-matic or autoblogged?

EDIT: Strangely for my site as posted above, there is no search function even though it is the same theme as your site.

Thanks.

hmm strange that not sure why there is no search function did you download the theme from the site i linked to? im using wp-o-matic for mine as it works quite well with the feeds im using but as yours is a different niche it will be trial and error to see which you prefer

Can you help me how to correct this?

just thought id let everyone know technicnews.com has jumped straight in with a google PR of 3 since the update :)

what i have learned since the update:
these type of aggregate sites are great for automatically creating backlinks:

every time a post is created its pinging back to the original site alot of sites publish this on there site - instant back link

the rss feed is very popular the more the feed gets put out there by other sites the more backlinks you get ive been using rss submit for this and not only the main feed but also feeds from my digg account etc

try to keep the site clean i had alot of comments from people on reddit etc saying that it looks spammy and overcrowded with the google ads on the side of the post so i have now changed these to a 60 x 468 image ad above the posts and 2 image ads in the side bar

hope everyone is getting on okay with their blogs anyone else got some examples?

well thats strange the pr dropped back to zero again within an hour??? though my backlinks have just started showing in google stats...wierd

yeah i know but when i checked yesterday afternoon it was showing pr3 lol must have been a glitch...damn got all excited ha ha

@blackhaty -goodjob! you almost have the exact copy of techchuck.com. how did you manage to use excerpt on the main post and add the "Read the whole story", "Continue" etc. link to the original source? what autoblog plugin are you using? i think autoblogged can do this with post template, i would like to know if its also possible with wp-o-matic.

okay guys if anyone needs a techchuck.com replica knocking up i can now do them in around an hour i charge $15 its not identical as the related videos is different but other than that its pretty much the same. check out technicnews.com for an example

Hey guys, I used alot of autoblog info from this thread to make a new blog.
I used a different theme, but implemented similar ideas.

I think the biggest secret to making these look legit is to be willing to get messy with the themes PHP code. Dont be afraid. You have back ups. I modded the theme I used a ton.

If you have any questions about how I did stuff just let me know and I'll try to help you do it too.

heres the link so you can check it.
