How to remove youtube video from rank

I do not bring down videos or report other peoples hard work. I am confident enough to outrank them and beat them.

I know where you're coming from OP. I run a forum that is basically the largest and only forum for my niche. I get over 4 milllion page views per month, have 19k plus members etc. Despite that there are 3 Youtube videos and a FB page that rank above my forum. The videos are basically promoting scam sites, and the FB page has like 5 posts, and hasn't been updated in months. It makes absolutely no sense to me. When I search my keywork with the - YouTube switch my site is the second result. If Google's goal is to promote relevant websites they really need to stop having YouTube video's rank so high.

I don't think this is about "taking down other people's hard work", it's like working really hard for months or years on something, spending lots of money, etc. And then having a video that took 5 mins to make and promotes a scam site none the less rank above your work.

If we were talking about website vs website I would agree with you. E.g. a person wanting to neg-seo his competitors site. But, I see no reason why a single static YouTube video should rank higher than a website that was deigned around the same niche. As I said above my situation is very frustrating. I have spent more than a year developing my site and getting it to where it is today. I have 19k + members, 40k posts, and I rank 1 one for many keywords in my niche. However, for what I would call my main keyword I am out ranked by videos that promote SPAM sites, as in, they want you to go there to download a tool that is actually a virus.

If it is a scam video or something similar then simply report the video to YouTube. If not then leave it alone and learn to rank
your site above a YouTube video because it is not that difficult to do.
